SouthComm to Cease Publishing of Her Nashville Magazine
NASHVILLE, TENN. (June 27, 2012) – SouthComm, Inc., will cease publication of Her Nashville magazine, a periodical covering local women, events, and issues, and insightful narratives on topics of interest to women.
“It is with a heavy heart that we announce the closing of Her Nashville,” said Abby White, Editor in Chief of Her Nashville. “It has been an honor to be part of this extraordinary magazine, to work with such incredibly talented contributors, and champion many of the amazing women who make Nashville such a vibrant city. Fortunately, the sass and spirit of Her will live on in our ‘little sister’ publications, Her Kansas City and Her Cincinnati.”
“Nashville readers embraced Her for the last four years. Unfortunately, the advertising support needed to keep the free publication going just was not sufficient to continue publishing the magazine in Nashville,” said Chris Ferrell, CEO of SouthComm. “I’m sorry we were unable to give Her a longer lifespan, but I am proud of the quality work our team did on the publication during its four-year run.”
Her Nashville, a free monthly publication with a circulation of 20,000, launched in July of 2008 and was distributed throughout Davidson and Williamson counties. It featured a range of women’s lifestyle topics for all age groups and focused on intelligent, imaginative and inspirational content. The July issue will be the last issue of Her Nashville.
