PourTaste App: Have a Cocktail in Your Pocket
I'm a geek at heart. Whenever I hear of a new device, website or app, I'm on it like flies to sugar water. So when I found out about PourTaste's app, I wanted to download it and see what it was all about.
PourTaste, the brainchildof mixologist Jon Yeager, is your guide to where to drink and what to order. He sniffs out the best cocktails and alcoholic mixes around Tennessee and other cities Yeager travels.
But what happens when you're on the go and there's no computer to check where to grab a 5-o'clock-somewhere beverage?
Turn to and download the PourTaste app. With this app, you now have a mobile, cocktail guide wherever you go. Search practically any city stateside and you'll have a list of Yeager's favorites in the palm of your hand. Get the address, times of operation, website, phone number and any notes Yeager has made. Yeager also provides a drink of the week, complete with its location and recipe.
The only downside I found with the app is that it's limited to the iPhone. Sorry, droid lovers! The app costs $0.99 and is now available at the iTunes App Store. I highly suggest you download it now.
