A Big Bird Told Me: The Big Yellow Bird Ball
If you can tell me how to get, how to get to Sesame Street, then Friday has the perfect party for you at the Big Yellow Bird Ball. If you just like drinking, eating and dressing up for a good cause, then you'll still enjoy this benefit for Nashville Public Television.
Oh to be three years old again. I grew up watching Bert, Ernie, Cookie Monster, the Count and of course, Big Bird. This Friday, June 15, NPT is paying tribute to our favorite giant bird at the Big Yellow Bird Ball, an opportunity for those of us who were raised on public television to ensure the next generation of kids has the same quality programming.
So, break out your best yellow threads and flock to this fun event. Don't worry about being fancy, the event is casual. Just wear yellow!
The party is from 7-11 p.m. at Ruby on Blakemore Ave and includes an open bar featuring signature drinks by PourTaste, food and plenty of tail feather shaking music from DJ Nekos Barnes. Tickets are $50 and buy each attendee an NPT membership. Purchase tickets.
The most creative yellow outfit will win two tickets to Jason Mraz. If you're still not sure what to wear, here's a little yellow inspiration. Watch: What are you going to wear?
This is going to be a good one, brought to you by the letters NPT, so don't miss out!
