We're Plotting Something Special for Laurel's Flower Bed!

Well, we're about to blanket Laurel's flower bed with full coverage of its progress.  We're in the first steps of Laurel's small plot becoming a bed of paradise. 

As you've seen in the print version of our magazine, Laurel presently has a very blank slate in terms of her home's landscaping.  She lives in a contemporary condo with a homeowner's association.  Thus, she only has a small patch to play with and plant in.  Laurel wants her landscaping choices to enhance her home's modern, clean architecture, and she doesn't want to be dramatically different from her neighbors in close proximity.  Still, she loves to garden and wants anything she plants to be a stand out. 

Enter landscaping pro Beth O'Leary of Teacup Gardener.  Beth has graciously agreed to aide Laurel in this project.  Just last Monday, Beth and Laurel met up on location to survey the situation and talk about Laurel's goals for the space.  I tagged along to document the meeting. 

Some surprises did come out of that meeting.  Beth quickly saw that Laurel's passionate about plants, so she devised an attractive way to extend the bed.  She also spent quality time learning about the space, Laurel's goals and getting a feel for the location. 

Now, Laurel eagerly awaits Beth's initial landscape plan, which should be ready later next week.  When the plan comes in, the plot will thicken...and I'll continue the tale at that time!
