Home Decor in the 'Hood: Hillsboro Village
Shopping for "uniques" in Hillsboro Village is always fun. With mainstays Pangea and Fire Finch, I've never been at a loss for finding just the perfect housewarming gift or quirkily wonderful accessory to jazz up a tabletop. When Retropolitan hit 21st Avenue last year, my personal shopping Trifecta for Hillsboro Village was complete. Retropolitan is a hip shop full of fun, affordable options for design-it-herselfers.
First a co-branded venture with fashion hot spot Posh, the store immediately caught my attention, its windows dolled up in damask drapes, raspberry pink velvet upholstery and sparkling, mirrored accessories. Every time I drive past that store, I swear it's batting its lashes at me, enticing me to stop in to find something else I didn't know my home couldn't be without.
The inventory runs the gamut: new and pre-loved, classic and ecclectic. Clearly some "Her" with a keen eye is procuring the products. Even if you don't have time to go in, give the window a glance each time you drive through Hillsboro Village...and be sure to wink back!
