A co-worker recently asked me what I thought about the new Droid Incredible. I had never heard of it, so I tested it out for a few days—LADIES: if you like the first Droid but dislike its bulk, go buy the Droid Incredible.

A few months back, I tested the original Droid. Although I fell in love with its bright, responsive touch screen and speedy processor, I still found the device heavy and a tad awkward. It was a man’s phone; the red and black, robot-focused marketing supported my theory.

But this one is different. The Droid Incredible is like the beautiful, strong and feisty little sister of the original Droid; it is lighter, faster and even responds to your touch with a little vibration called “haptic” feedback (just about the only feature I liked in the old BlackBerry Storm).

One of my favorite features is way the Droid Incredible allows you to view message notifications all in one place; your new Twitter, Facebook, Gmail, Outlook and text message icons each appear in a little bar on the top left-hand side. It’s fabulous (the Droid does this, too).

Another good thing: now that the original Droid has been out for several months, the fun and useful apps are aplenty; including the fabulous official Twitter application—the iPhone doesn’t even have that one yet!

My co-workers, husband, mother and I played for this phone for days with little complaint. Hubby thinks the keyboard is a little too slim for his liking—reinforcing my belief that this is a ladies phone. Mom is sad she just signed a contract for the original Droid because she loves the Incredible…

As for me, I’m holding out until the new iPhone comes out this summer. If it’s not FABULOUS in every way, I’m making the leap to the Droid Incredible. And I’m not looking back.
