I just paid $100 for a pillow

I'm a side-sleeper. After several months of creaking shoulders and a sore neck, I've decided my pillow--or, as we say in my family, "pilla"--is to blame. This is because I refuse to believe I'm getting old.

Being a gal who can appreciate a geeky personal beauty product, I have now completely geeked out and purchased a fancy, space-material, very heavy Tempur-Pedic pillow.

I walked through my front door this weekend completely empowered by my purchase; hubby stares at me and says, "Uh, oh. A pilla that comes in a box that big only means one thing: you went deluxe." Indeed, I have. Is it worth it? I hope so.

Do you have one of these fancy things? Better still, do you own the uber cool mattress? What about the pet bed?

A symphony pilla? That there is one high-class sleep accoutrement. I hope it eases your aches and pains.

The issue: after three nights of sleeping on my over-priced pilla, my shoulders and neck are still not happy campers. It's like there is TOO MUCH support. Since I'm tiny, I don't think my head weighs enough to make it do it's mold-to-your-head thing. It's too high; therefore, uncomfortable.

In the middle of the night last night, I got up and switched back to my old, not-at-all-fancy one.

(sigh)

Good thing I kept the receipt.

OH NO! That's not good! I'm a side-sleeper too, so I feel your pain. Literally. Good luck!
