Google Chrome: not just another shiny object

If you are still using the Web browser that comes standard on your PC (Internet Explorer) or Mac (Safari), you are really missing out on the easy breezy page load speed of my new best friend: Google Chrome.

Does it really make a difference? Yes.

You probably don't give much thought to that fabulous techy thing that lets you surf and shop--and savor Internet gossip. But you should. Pictures of your precious kiddos load faster, spell check is automatic (so you won't keep misspelling your Facebook wall posts), the "new tab" page is beautiful and your computer may actually be safer.

I once was a fan of FireFox. Like, a big fan. But lately, FireFox has been buggy and unreliable. I've officially set my defaults to Chrome; I'm now crash-free and lovin' it.

How about you? Please share your browser of choice--and why--in the comments! In the meantime, here's a quick video on how Chrome (for Mac and PC) keeps your computer secure while you're getting your fill of TMZ and Perez Hilton.

Thanks, lady! Oh, and FireFox released yesterday an upgrade that significantly improves functionality and speed! So, if you are still Fox'n along, download the upgrade and you should be a happy camper!
